Christmas Writing Prompt #16 is called ‘Perfect Christmas dinner‘ and it asks you what is your perfect Christmas dinner?
A nice one…
Seriously though a Christmas dinner for me is basically a Sunday roast with a few substitutions and additions. Instead of beef/lamb/chicken it’s turkey, it’s the only time of the year I eat turkey. Makes it kinda special I guess? It’s the nicest meat but it’s a once of the year kinda thing.
Still have things like roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy but added to it is stuffing and pigs in blankets which seem to have replaced cocktail sausages at parties now diminishing their specialness.
Of course I’ve normally had a few drinks by dinner time Christmas Day so I don’t really care what’s to eat so long as it is food.
