Today’s daily prompt is called Comedy of Errors (and bonus assignment!) and it asks;
Murphy’s Law says, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” Write about a time everything did — fiction encouraged here, too!
Bonus assignment: do you keep a notebook next to your bed? Good. Tomorrow morning, jot down the first thought you have upon waking, whether or not it’s coherent.
Part of me wants to say I’m brilliant and things never go wrong for me, especially everything all at once, but I don’t want to tempt the fates. We are currently working out a little arrangement for stuff in the real world and I don’t want to use up all the good will I’ve built up with them.
No instead I’m going to link you to a story I published yesterday as a response to one of the writing prompts I put up each day. It’s vaguely related to this prompt, it does say fiction encouraged.
It’s a horror comedy sort of thing, any comments or feedback is gladly welcome. Accidental Demon Summoning story.
As for the bonus assignment, I’ve got plenty of paper and pens sitting around the house so I’ll put some next to bed in a bit and give it a try tomorrow morning. Should be interesting.
