Fact of the Day: Nutella

Today’s fact of the day is about nutella and its invention.

Nutella was invented during World War II, when an Italian pastry maker mixed hazelnuts into chocolate to extend his chocolate ration.

I love it when things are invented by accident or not on purpose. The most famous example is always the story of Sir Alexander Fleming discovering penicillin in a discarded petri dish.

As for nutella itself, it’s alright.
