Daily Prompt: Ready, Set, Done

Todays daily prompt is called Ready, Set, Done and it asks;

10 minutes. You and your keyboard (or smartphone. Or tablet. Or pen and paper). No pauses, no edits, no looking back: it’s free-write time!

Bloody hell its this one again. Hmm OK let’s see.

Last night was the final of the Great British Bake Off. Nancy won which was a bit disappointing. I don’t get how Richard can be star baker a record 5 times and not win? That should count for something surely? That said he did have a bad week. Louis always had great designs and stuff, they were always brilliant looking and imaginative. I dunno I was underwhelmed by the final decision. Oh well. You have to move on.

England are playing tonight. I’m currently in the middle of writing how I’d like to see them line-up for the match. But it’s only San Marino so it’s a bit of a no contest really. No offence to San Marino but they aren’t a team of professionals. Some of the teams in the qualification campaign are so weak that they are a complete mismatch against the bigger footballing nations. And before you argue that they should be given a chance to play them so that they can improve, it’s such a mismatch that they won’t. They need to play against teams around their own ability level so that they can improve but with how the qualification groups are drawn that never happens. UEFA/FIFA need to review how the qualification systems work for tournaments.

I’ve got about 20 items on my Minecraft bucket list now, I figured I’d publish t and start recording it when I get 25 items on the list and then just add to it from there.

Yesterday I went with my mate to a shopping sent to find some square paper because he’s decided he wants to try his hand at origami. You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find some square paper or actual origami paper. We had to try three or four shops before we found some and people kept looking at us like we were mad for asking for such a thing. I thought that stuff would be quite common and easy to get a hold off but apparently not.

Hmm what else. I’m going to start my Five Word Challenge again but this time I might make it monthly instead of weekly. Weekly made it all feel so rushed and not enough time so monthly will probably be better.

Also I don’t know why I’ve decided to use this prompt as sort of a more informal bloggy kinda space and just talk about what’s going on. I guess its one way to use it.

Next!

  1. Reblogged this on How NOT To and commented:
    This is more of a “how to” rather than a “how not to” (I know, second post and already doing it wrong) But this is a great way to get the creative juices flowing. Also great for stress relief/anger management. 😉

  2. I was quite happy that Nancy won in the end. I think she had substance over style and that’s what won it for her. Luis tried too hard and Richard just seemed to collapse under the pressure. Not sure what I’m going to do without my weekly dose of Sue now 😀

    1. Nancy was probably the most consistent over all the weeks so fair play to her but I still think being star baker five times should count for something. You could re-watch it all and pretend you don’t know what happens each week?
