Daily Prompt: Discussion Enders

Today’s daily prompt is called Discussion Enders and it asks;

We’ve all had exchanges where we came up with the perfect reply — ten minutes too late. Write down one of those, but this time, make sure to sign off with your grand slam (unused) zinger.

This actually happens to people? This has never happened to me I’m perfect. OK just kidding but I don’t keep a note or a record of them, annoyingly it happened and then you move on.

Are there people out there who write down everything they wish they had said when they lost an argument? If so that’s a bit sad, it’s not that important.

Admittedly today I’m moaning because I can’t think of an actual example to use rather than it being a silly question. Although I bet after I post this I will remember a really good occasion of where this happened to me and I should of put that instead.

Hang on a second… Oh the irony. I will think up the perfect reply to this but ten minutes too late. Well at least its sort of related to the prompt today. Still this feels like the story of my life at times.

  1. Some of us obsess about mistakes like that…… I sure used to. However, at the moment I can’t think of any specific examples either! I find that interesting since being late in that way used to be “normal” for me.

    I like the funny way you answered the prompt. Thanks for the laugh.

    And the nice thing about the daily prompts is that if you think of a specific instance later in the day you can submit another piece!
