Today’s daily prompt is called You, Robot and asks;
Congrats — you’ve been handed a robot whose sole job is to relieve you of one chore, job, or responsibility you particularly hate. What is it?
Wahey now we’re talking. Hello robot buddy.
What should I have it do for me? How about handling social interactions for me. Save me from having to talk to people and listen to their mind numbingly boring stories about their lives. Er I mean just kidding, I love talking to people and hearing about their oh so interesting stories. I can’t get enough of them, please tell me more of them.
What else could I get my robot to do? Clean? Maybe, although it’s a useful form of distraction when I get bored, get writer’s block, or just plain old want to put off doing something. The more important the task I’m trying to avoid the more I clean. Do I really want to miss out on that?
I know. Earning money. My robot buddy can go find some boring tedious little job and do that round the clock for me, I’ll just collect the wage, and I’ll use the additional time to do er things. I don’t know what, if I get bored it’ll probably be cleaning,
