Today’s daily prompt is called Not Lemonade and it asks;
When life gives you lemons… make something else. Tell us about a time you used an object or resolved a tricky situation in an unorthodox way.
Well the good thing is, I don’t like lemonade, so I’m glad I don’t have to make that here.
What some people view as unorthodox others view as normal. I know I have a lot of little habits and quirks and ways of getting around issues that some people may view as odd. I mean I can’t think of any specific examples right now at this very minute but I’m sure there must be some.
Seriously what is solving a problem in an unorthodox way? Surely every new way of solving a problem is at first unorthodox and strange. Then people see how useful it is and adopt it and big bang boom it becomes normal.
Apparently there’s some theory that we aren’t actually very good problem solvers. When we solve problems we don’t really think about the problem logically or anything like that, instead we solve it the way we’ve been taught or the way we remember, even if that means including ten extra steps. Based on that theory any thought out solution to a problem that isn’t based on memory or the way we’ve been taught would seem unorthodox.
See it’s not all just little rants and stuff here, no we aim to teach you something new.
