The daily prompt today is called Road Tripping and it asks us, rather predictably from the title about road trips.
‘Tis the season for road trips — if time and money were out of the equation, what car-based adventure would you go on? (If you don’t or can’t drive, any land-based journey counts.)
If it’s land-based only then I’m going to struggle to get to places being in the UK. Although I suppose I could use the Euro tunnel to get to France and mainland Europe, and then from there I can get to basically anywhere in Africa, Asia, or Europe. But then I would have to take a really really really really really long road trip just to get to the place where I want to have a road trip. A road trip just to get to a road trip, it’s silly.
On to the actual question. Well there are so many places I would like to go in the world. Although small problem I can’t drive. I can’t afford to own or run a car because the government likes to tax you to hell for the privilege of owning a car.
Instead my road trip is a walking trip. No wait a hiking trip. That’s the correct term I believe. Where then would I take this hiking trip I hear you ask? Well I reply, how about the Amazon rain-forest? I’ve always wanted to go there, it looks absolutely amazing and I love wildlife.
Could I cheat and add a boat? I know it says land-based but a boat ride through the Amazon is surely so awesome it overrides the land-based nonsense. I mean I already have to take a plane to South America so it’s already not a land-based journey.
Hmm I might go read up how much a boat ride through the Amazon would cost and see what I would need.
